Oakland based comedy writer Eric Newton self identifies as Hufflepuff with just a touch of British-cheekiness!

Although Eric has worked in the tech industry for nearly 2 decades, involved with projects for entertainment giants such as Disney, Sony, Fox and HBO, Eric now seeks to become a household name in his own right.
Eric can be seen performing standup comedy all over the Bay Area, especially at venues easily accessible from BART. He has co-produced a variety of comedy offerings such as “Belly Rub” at Emperor Norton’s Boozeland in San Francisco, “The Tommy Feldman Happy Hour” (Virtual Variety Show) and “Duly Noted” (Instagram/TikTok). He’s hosted shows for Alameda Comedy Club, Pruneyard Cinemas, and has done work in improv, sketch, and podcast productions.
Eric is currently the emcee for “The Empire Strips Back”, playing at The Great Star Theater in San Francisco’s Chinatown district.
